oh christmas tree...

oh christmas tree...

this past weekend we set out to coffeeville to do a little hunting

and play in the woods

no cell phone service, no internet

it was great way to relax and get away for a bit

while we were there i asked drew if we could cut down a pine tree to use as a christmas tree

we did, and not only cut down one but TWO trees

you see these little pines are tiny and not very full so i wanted to have two options

we loaded them up and headed back to bham

while trying to set up the tree, i was stubborn and thought these little trees don't need a tree stand...

they will be able to stand in a small vase

boy, was i wrong

after 3 1/2 hours i realized a tree stand was needed.

wal mart to the rescue!

and now the tree is up!!

side note everyone in the birmingham area is out of white christmas tree lights... must stock up when im home!

crazy

life has been all around crazy

to be honest i can not even remember the last time i posted

but i will try to catch you up!

kickball came to an end

alum baseball game-great to see drew back in a BSC uniform!

a great friend {big red} came to visit

thanksgiving in auburn

went hunting

cut down a charlie brown christmas tree

& watched home alone twice

last night at the Alabama Theater

i will try to stay more up to date!

last night we were privileged to be able to 

go to the

premiere of ESPN's new movie

at The Alabama Theater

i had never been to The Alabama Theater 

and it was so amazing, the detail throughout the entire historic venue was simply amazing!

the movie was great and portrayed the rivalry to a "t"

it will air next tuesday night at 7pm and i encourage all to watch

baf becomes bat

this past weekend i was privileged to be apart of brittany and jays 

wedding weekend

and let me just say the weekend did not disappoint

we arrived to panama city thursday night 

and were lucky enough to stay

at the bay point resort

the accommodations were wonderful

friday morning the girls got up and walked downstairs for the bridesmaids luncheon

in typical brittany fashion she wanted it to be very relaxed and "chill"

we were told to wear nike shorts and tennis shoes

{as well as bring a swimsuit}

we were treated to great food and spa time 

at reflections spa

with lunch, manicures, and relaxation i can't think of a better way to spend the day before your wedding

after all the pampering we were shuttled to the church for the rehearsal

from there we were bussed to the rehearsal dinner 45 min north of PCB to a farm

the land was beautiful, the night was beautiful, and the table spaces

including ice sculptures were great!

saturday came and went so fast, but it was great

we were up early heading to the hair salon to get our hair done

then back to finish makeup 

 all and all the day and weekend could not have been better

there were some minor glitches that will never be remembered

or simply will turn to great memories!

so blessed to be apart of a great weekend!

vacation dreaming...

growing up we lived on the west coast

so seeing those sights are not as exciting to me

but now being on my own

i have dreams of vacationing to many places along the 

east coast and north

here is my list just to name a few...

this fall a group of friends have come together

as

"the has beens"

to compete in a kickball league

back row: mark, clay, drew, bee, josh, stephen, sam, & ricco

front row: christine, gail, kelly, amy, lindsey, lexi

kickball on thursday nights are the place to be

there are over 90 teams playing

after one week our entire team is really excited for every thursday to come around!
