chicago.

last saturday i boarded a plane at 5am to
c.h.i.c.a.g.o
the flight was early but so worth it
i was greeted at the airport
by this guy

we drove back to wisconsin
to watch some snappers baseball

while drew was at the field i met up with his family
& watched a midwestern motorcycle rally.

we watched from outside the barricades until they played
sweet home alabama
we took it as our invitation to the party.

we danced the afternoon away in the street!
we clearly stuck out like sore thumbs.

our fun at the motorcycle rally unfortunately got cut short to ensure we made it in time to the baseball game

mister big time took time to pose with his biggest fans before the games.
sunday we celebrated fathers day
& even got to see Mitt Romney
{he was staying at the leachman's hotel and speaking in wisconsin}

Monday Drew and I packed the car and headed to

we rode every ride there
including the first ever "loop" water slide

this is looking out above the ride
you start in a glass tube, they count to 3 and the bottom drops out
& that is when the fun starts

the day was so much fun
we headed back to janesville to plan our chicago trip
& grill out with the team

tuesday we left for chicago
once there we rode the train into the city
we ate at

{lou malnatis}

the best salad ever... not joking!

the infamous deep dish pizza

soo  so good!
we then ventured down the magnificent mile
& to pier park

{view looking back on the city}

we then ventured to the ferris wheel
i won't bore you with our solo shots
& then hit up the architectural boat tour

 i high recommend the boat tour
we learned so much about different buildings
like the one that was insulated with horse hair..??

the fountain reaches across the river, drew thought it would be neat if it looked like
it was coming out of his mouth!

that night we ate famous chicago hot dogs.

wednesday
we saw the bean

& then hitched a cab to the sears tower

up 102 floors

holy cow this was so scary, this 4 inch glass box is holding us over all of chicago
so crazy!

we ate lunch at al's beef with a couple of drew's teammates that were also in chicago
it was great and seemed very local.

that night we grew a wild hair and decided to rent segways and watch a firework show

best part of the trip!

take me back to chicago!!!
