enjoy it

that is exactly what i am going to do this weekend

finally we get some nice weather

and i can not wait to just go on a long walk and be outside 

ALL DAY

i ate ice cream for dinner

it was perfect

i guess we will always be kids at heart

i bought this book three weeks ago

and for some reason i was literally scared to start it

maybe because i was scared to hear things i did not want to hear

or maybe because it was exactly what i needed to hear

either way

i started it last night and will probably finish it tonight

it has been such an eye opening experience to read the words and see the way others in different countries are eager to learn and hear the word.

some sundays an hour long sermon is too much

these people sent over half a day going through the entire New Testament

its truly incredible.

work days

every monday thru friday i have to look presentable for work

thankfully i do not have to strap on a suit and heels everyday

but i do have to wear business casual

e.v.e.r.y.d.a.y.

really its not that bad

and it gives me a good reason to shop on a regular basis

right?

adjusting to this new lifestyle has not been too difficult

because i try to envision what i will wear to work the night before

in hopes of when my alarm goes off choices do not have to be made

usually it works

but when it does not i am in a time crunch to get to work on time

this past weekend i re organized my closet

this allowed me to see everything i have and things that i have just forgotten about

no i would say that my closet is very workable and i know what is in there

making my morning routine that much easier!

for all you lucky dogs out there that are still in college and get to wear sweat pants and nike shorts everday

i envy you

enjoy it while it lasts

but really growing up is not that bad

i feel quite honored to get to work somewhere 

where little debbie's/mckee foods sends us treats every month

this month was mini doughnuts

i ate close to twenty five yesterday

and it was awesome

literally i have no self control when it comes to sweets

doughnuts are truly my thing.

except krispy kreme.

sorry for my absence

a lot of things have come and gone

christmas for one...

it was GREAT and great is probably a complete understatement

new years came and now its gone as well

we rang in the new year in ATL

at this great restaurant

eight of us had a private room on the fourth floor that looked over peachtree street

it was a great time

took a quick journey here

and bought new bedding

which i did not need 

but it was impossible to leave with nothing

so i said to myself why not completely re-do your room to start off 2011

sounds like a great idea to me!

got back on the grind of work

learned how much a rip off car dealerships are just to do a diagnostic test

no i will not pay $108 just for you to tell me what is wrong with my car

went to the BBVA Compass Bowl with my mom and kelly

to watch my mom's alma mater, Pitt take on Kentucky

we even got to have dinner with Pitt's head coach that night

had work cancelled due to lots and lots of 

so since we were stuck at our apt all day monday

we made homemade cinnamon rolls, that were divine and white chicken chili

monday night we brought home the crystal ball

NATIONAL CHAMPSSSSS

brown paper packages tied up with strings

these are a few of my favorite things...

well sometimes i envision things and won't let those ideas go until they are finished

last night i envisioned wrapping my families presents in brown contact paper

similar to this

and tying it all together with red raffia

the problem was...

i went to hobby lobby and forgot why i was there and what i needed

i guess i am getting old

 the manager told me they dont have brown contact paper

and  i forgot the actual word 'raffia' and trying to explain raffia to a male was very difficult 

 if you know me

you will know i am not always the best at explaining things

anyways after an hour and a half

i put everything together and checked out with just brown contact paper

they were unfortunately out of red raffia

so my search continued into the craziness of people doing last minute shopping

i finally found the red raffia at world market

i bought every piece of red raffia that they had

so now everything is wrapped perfectly in my eyes

i also finished up christmas shopping yesterday

my dad was my last on my list

hes hard to shop for

but he eventually told me what he wanted and i was able to knock it out

just in time

im working today

the life of being a grown up is not all fun and games

but im heading home promptly at 5

marry christmas eve eve 

hope its great

oh by the way we took our family christmas picture this past weekend

and yet again it was a disaster
