have you ever seen the mall kiosk's with ladies using sewing thread to shape their eyebrows?
well, i have!
and my roommate convinced me it would be a great idea to try it out.
so we enter 'arches', lay down in our chair and they go to town. it is different than waxing and the feeling is something that i am unable describe. buttt the results were great and the truth that threading lasts longer is working for me!
so don't hesitate the next time a lady in the mall asks you if you would like to have your eyebrows threaded...it's worth the adventure!
over and out.
“Growing up is never easy. You hold on to things that were. You wonder what's to come. But that night, I think we knew it was time to let go of what had been, and look ahead to what would be. Other days. New days. Days to come. The thing is, we didn't have to hate each other for getting older. We just had to forgive ourselves... for growing up.”

family
one thing i love about holiday's is all the family time. now being in the real world i forget how much i LOVE being with my family and not only my mom, dad and little brother (i mean come on i live with my sister, kelly) but my extended family as well. this thanksgiving really showed me how thankful i am for such a great family. call it cheesy, but i love them. i hate that it takes me until i am with them to remember how much i thrive when i am with them. i recently came upon on this sweet picture of my family (before little brother) and makes me so happy!
and to be more recent, including the little baby brother - who shockingly is now about to choose where he goes to college (fingers crossed he is close to kelly and me!)
hope all are as thankful for your family as much as i am!
hey
hey friends, i am here. life has been crazy since the last time we spoke, but i am here to stay!
i moved into a new house, started a new job, traveled to wisconsin, canada, athens, dressed up as sophia grace and rosie, jack was a hot dog, thanksgiving-ed in baton rouge, and many many more crazy things, but i am back.

seasons
i have always heard people talk about
the highs and lows of the seasons in your life
and honestly i did not understand what it meant
until now
this summer was a hard season and i am happy to welcome fall with open arms
march brought a new job, an additional roommate, and spring training
april, may and june brought birthdays and fun travel for work and pleasure
july brought moving
not just moving to a new place, but moving all my belongings out of our apartment into a storage unit as well as moving into a friends bedroom while sharing a bed and all my belongings with one of my best friends for a month
{i am not good at sharing a bed - like my personal space}
then moving again
because we could not move into our house until august 1st.
we were homeless for a month
then, work got crazy.
there seemed like there was no consistency
at.all. in any division of my life
i had a breaking point
what put me over the edge was getting a little deodorant on my dress
& not being able to sew my curtains for our new house
and yes i cried.
it was as if the Lord literally stripped me of everything and brought me to my knees
He needed me to need Him and only Him
i love that about Him.
going through this season was hard
and He was teaching me something
i don't know what it is yet, but i know that it brought me closer to Him
and for that i am thankful
i have learned more than ever that
it is so wonderful that He is in control and not me
so on this day
i can say i am so thankful for seasons fo life
they draw you close and strengthen you for a better tomorrow.
have you ever gone through a hard season?

chicago.
last saturday i boarded a plane at 5am to
c.h.i.c.a.g.o
the flight was early but so worth it
i was greeted at the airport
by this guy
we drove back to wisconsin
to watch some snappers baseball
while drew was at the field i met up with his family
& watched a midwestern motorcycle rally.
we watched from outside the barricades until they played
sweet home alabama
we took it as our invitation to the party.
we danced the afternoon away in the street!
we clearly stuck out like sore thumbs.
our fun at the motorcycle rally unfortunately got cut short to ensure we made it in time to the baseball game
mister big time took time to pose with his biggest fans before the games.
sunday we celebrated fathers day
& even got to see Mitt Romney
{he was staying at the leachman's hotel and speaking in wisconsin}
Monday Drew and I packed the car and headed to
we rode every ride there
including the first ever "loop" water slide
this is looking out above the ride
you start in a glass tube, they count to 3 and the bottom drops out
& that is when the fun starts
the day was so much fun
we headed back to janesville to plan our chicago trip
& grill out with the team
tuesday we left for chicago
once there we rode the train into the city
we ate at
{lou malnatis}
the best salad ever... not joking!
the infamous deep dish pizza
soo so good!
we then ventured down the magnificent mile
& to pier park
{view looking back on the city}
we then ventured to the ferris wheel
i won't bore you with our solo shots
& then hit up the architectural boat tour
i high recommend the boat tour
we learned so much about different buildings
like the one that was insulated with horse hair..??
the fountain reaches across the river, drew thought it would be neat if it looked like
it was coming out of his mouth!
that night we ate famous chicago hot dogs.
wednesday
we saw the bean
& then hitched a cab to the sears tower
up 102 floors
holy cow this was so scary, this 4 inch glass box is holding us over all of chicago
so crazy!
we ate lunch at al's beef with a couple of drew's teammates that were also in chicago
it was great and seemed very local.
that night we grew a wild hair and decided to rent segways and watch a firework show
best part of the trip!
take me back to chicago!!!

perspective
a tearjerker, for sure
love the part where it says ian is living with a primary purpose and that is all that matters.

weekending.
as you can tell it was great
we caught up, fished, ate, and sun bathed.
brittany and jay are two of my bestest friends
they were married last october and i had not seen them since
so i took myself on a little vacay down to pcb to hang out
it was wonderful.
their dog tucker filled the void of jack not being there.
we talked that jack and tucker would be best of friends.
happy tuesday yall!

brain dump
life has been crazy lately
well crazy fun
let me explain in pictures
i successfully planted my first plants, and 2 weeks in they are still alive
the back two tall pots are lavender and they smell amazing
lauren and i at the dave barnes concert @ workplay
anna and anna @ dave barnes
the infamous dave barnes - he put on such a great show, he is a great entertainer even if you don't enjoy his music!
braves vs. pirates game
honestly this was the most i watched of the game
i was with some of my best friends and we were having too much fun catching up
drew was promoted!!! he is now in wisconsin playing for the beloit snappers!
& because he was promoted that meant a change in my ticket
originally i was heading to fort myers for memorial day weekend
but it would not be as fun if drew wasn't going to be there
so now i am heading to beloit next weekend
great timing, we will get to spend my birthday together!
cute towel design @ my hotel for a work trip
a little photoshoot with aric & the king
you know with this new job i am learning more and more about NASCAR
never would have thought i would know what i know about the sport
behind the scenes of the photoshoot
such a fun experience!
crazy plant at my desk
baron's baseball game with my luckie girls
& last but not least, the food network came to work yesterday
it was so fun, they brought cupcakes, macaroons and other great treats for a really fun afternoon!
jack has been in auburn at "camp shaffer"
aka hanging with his grandparents
i will be getting him this weekend!
hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
